Chicken Pecking

A dance for 4 adapted from Horseshoes                  1                      2

CHORUS 
 Hit floor right, clash with partner, hit floor left, partner and turn for 4 steps in direction of hit.
Hit floor left, partner, hit floor right, partner and turn for 4 in direction of hit.
VERSE 1- Heys Hey on ends of sides – 1 & 2 take 2 steps backwards, then 3 & 4 come in to do a hey.
(4 does dog leg)
Side Hey – 2 & 4 take 2 steps backwards, then 1 & 3 come in to do a hey.
(3 does dog leg)
CHORUS  
VERSE 2 - Chicken Pecking Hit floor, then clash with partner, alternating, for 8 sticks.
2 & 3 hit down first, 1 & 4 hit up first.
Move ˝ way round set, crossing along sides first, and then across the set, passing right & left shoulders.
Repeat sticking, move back to original place as before.
CHORUS  
VERSE 3 - Buttwheel hey 3 and 4 lead cast into line:       3            1            2            4
˝ hey, buttwheel sticking, ˝ hey, buttwheel sticking.
Cast back to original places.
(Buttwheel sticking – hit end of stick on floor, clash bottom of stick with partner, 2 clashes at top of stick with partner.
CHORUS  
DANCE OFF 3 & 4 cast off behind 1  & 2, and all dance off.
