3,4,5,6 take 4 steps to make centre star, form star
with sticks high in air on beat 4. Meanwhile 1+7, 2+8 cast out to meet
in line with the central star. All - 4 steps for a right hand star. Turn
in. 4 steps for a left hand star (sides do not change sticks – use
hand for left star). 4 steps back to place. Repeat stars – 1,2,7,8
for centre star, 3+5, 4+6 cast out for side stars. |

Everybody stepping throughout, weaving for 8 steps, sticking
for 8, hitting the same way. Each couple weaves down their side of the
set to opposite end, starting with couple 7 + 8. Weave inwards first.
As you pass a person, that person spins on spot in direction the weaver
has passed. On sticking, move down one space. Next weaving 5 + 6, then
3 + 4, finally 1 + 2 .
